Transfers to the city to and from the airport

Melbourne’s taxis are a convenient way to get from the airport to your destination. You can catch a taxi from designated taxi ranks, unless you have pre-booked one. Taxi ranks are located on the ground floor outside Terminals 1 and between Terminal 2 and 3. Taxi ranks are located on the ground floor of the transport hub outside Terminal 4.
Skybus Express Bus Service
SkyBus offers an express bus service from the airport to the city centre. SkyBus runs express between Melbourne Airport and Melbourne’s city centre, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The service takes approximately 20 minutes to get from the airport to the city centre. Buses run every 10 minutes from 6am to 11pm and every 15 to 30 minutes at other times.
At Melbourne Airport, SkyBus stops at Terminal 1 (Qantas domestic and QantasLink), Terminal 3 (Virgin, Regional Express and all international flights) and Terminal 4 (Jetstar and Tigerair domestic)

On arrival at Southern Cross Station in the city, SkyBus provides a complimentary hotel transfer service, subject to availability, during the following hours: 6am-10.30pm on Monday to Friday; 7.30am-5.30pm on Saturday and Sunday (excluding Christmas day).
